New Features outlined in the SAP Business One Roadmap

Enhanced tools within SAP Business One’s core product; a transformation to the cloud; renovated architecture; plus a willingness to leverage SAP HANA are all on SAP’s agenda.

Within SAP Business One, planned innovations include:

• Enriching core functions to make SAP Business One relevant to a wider customers base
• Lower cost of ownership by helping increased localisation competitiveness
• A higher level of automation through expanded lifecycle management

For SAP Business One, powered by SAP HANA, more consistent and faster reporting services will be available via better management and analytical capabilities. In addition, users will gain a more comprehensive overview of key data by embedded transactional and analytical capabilities.

New SAP Business One mobile apps will deliver the next generation of enterprise mobility and lead to increased workforce productivity and introduce new business practices.

Remote Access to SAP Business One will also be easier with browser-based access to create a more attractive proposition for enterprises looking for cloud deployment.

Future Direction

In the document, SAP also outlined their vision for the future direction of the solution. These include continuous improvements to create an intelligent, real-time ERP solution; for SAP Business One to be a global product that is highly scalable; to harness the power of SAP HANA to create an innovative reporting platform; and simplified consumption for on premise, cloud or mobile solutions.

SAP says that as part of its ‘clear and solid roadmap’ there will be ‘continuous enhancements’ for iOS and Android mobile apps, plus SAP Business One Cloud 1.x.

SAP Business One 9.2 will be released next year with SAP Business One 10.0 on the agenda for release in 2017
